Software Installation
There are many reasons to start a new data file — a few common ones being:
- A new data file is required to support a new start-up business.
- Cross platform migration — the current software from one vendor is no longer suitable for your business’s future requirements.
- The current software has been in use for too long — as a result, the file is getting too big and contains a lot of out-of-date data.
Whatever the reason for updating programs, we work with business owners and managers to install and customise software to meet the financial reporting needs of the business and its stakeholders.
Many of our successful installations have involved using MS Excel to perform data cleansing of old or obsolete data before importing them into the new file. We have the Excel skills needed to perform these tasks accurately.
We also perform cross platform-migrations where data from one software platform — such as customer lists, supplier lists and item lists — is imported to a completely different software platform with a different data structure.
Business Activity Statements
You may have chosen to record most of your business transactions in-house, either by yourself or relying on someone who does not have formal training in GST.
At times, you may wonder whether transactions have been entered correctly for reporting GST.
If you are not sure you are recording your transactions correctly, we are able to review them to ensure they have the correct GST codes attached before you lodge your Business Activity Statement.
As a registered BAS Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board, we are able to lodge your Business Activity Statement online using the BAS Agent Portal as well as report on your account balance to ensure that you have the latest information on your GST liability.
Training
It can be challenging to keep up with software that’s continuously being enhanced and upgraded with more functionality. To fully benefit from these enhancements, we offer custom-designed training courses to help your staff understand and operate the latest software.
With our Certificate IV in Training and Assessment combined with accreditation in Reckon, MYOB, Xero and Intuit products, we are ideally qualified to train your staff to become more competent and efficient when using these accounting software products. We also provide support after training to ensure the ongoing proficient use of accounting software programs.
Reporting
As a business owner or manager, you need timely and accurate reporting on your business’s financial performance. Core Bookkeeping Solutions offers a range of reporting services that keep you up to date, including:

If you require more than the standard reports produced by your accounting software, then we can extract financial data from your system and custom design reports using MS Excel.

What-If Analysis
What-if analysis can be a powerful tool to show you how even minor changes can have positive effects on your business.
For example, would you like to predict the effect of increasing your sales by 5% and reducing your fixed overhead by 3% has on your business? What about the effect that investing in a piece of new equipment has on your cash flow?
This type of what-if analysis has to be done outside of your accounting software. We accomplish this by exporting financial data to Excel to create what-if analysis scenarios that show you how business decisions can potentially affect key variables.
