Peng Loke
Core Bookkeeping Solutions is owned and operated by Peng Loke. After a successful career spanning more than 28 years in the Information & Communications Technology industry, Peng decided to change career in 2002 from being a salary earner to running his own business.
Leaving the corporate world was an easy decision. However, picking the right industry to start a new business was much more challenging. After a few attempts with different industry, Peng finally settled on bookkeeping. The change was partly brought about by necessity because he had to manage the accounts of an import business that he was running at the time.
He has completed Certificate IV in Financial Services (Accounting) and Diploma of Accounting. Peng has since gained the following accreditation which greatly enhanced his expertise in bookkeeping as well as pre-requisite to register as a BAS agent with the Tax Practitioners Board.

Peng has a Bachelor of Engineering degree and a Master of Business Administration degree. The combination of tertiary business management training and work experience in different corporate environments such as Philips, Honeywell, Bull, Telstra, BHP IT, Marconi and Simoco enable him to offer more than standard bookkeeping services. He helps small business owners analyse and improve on the financial performance by:
- working closely with them to understand their situations
- identifying key issues that have significant impact on business outcomes
- designing financial reports to monitor these key performance indicators (KPIs)
- devising business strategies to improve these KPIs.
